3D buildings will appear in Google Maps navigation mode
Google Maps has introduced a new feature that adds 3D buildings to the navigation mode. This is an addition to the existing 3D building layer that was available earlier.
Insider @AssembleDebug tweeted about the new feature. The new “show 3D buildings” option is now available in Google Maps beta 125.
Google maps has added the option for “Show 3D buildings” during navigation. It has been in testing for some time. Google Maps beta version 125 makes it available to everyone. It has already been possible to view 3D buildings in normal map view through layer option. #Google pic.twitter.com/hEFsOOKKcT

AssembleDebug said that the new feature will be activated during navigation. The 3D buildings layer shows buildings with only basic 3D geometry, not textures and other details. It is expected that the same level of detail will be applied to 3D buildings during navigation. This should help users navigate the city by showing the height of buildings.
This is the latest of many updates that have been implemented over the past year. These include weather and air quality displays, several AI-related updates, and real-time battery information for electric vehicles.
