Acrid smoke rises into the air
A large-scale fire broke out in Moscow at Elektrozavod, which produces electrical equipment for all industries. Rescuers have already assigned it the first level of danger.
It is preliminarily known that one of the workshops on the territory of the plant on Elektrozavodskaya Street is on fire. This was reported by the Russian media, publishing a video of the fire.
Eyewitnesses noticed a huge column of black smoke on the plant’s territory and reported an unpleasant odor spreading due to the fire. The fire was localized on an area of 50 square meters. Open burning has been eliminated.
Users of the network write that the fire occurred on the first floor of the paint shop. However, some news outlets reported that the fire had engulfed a shop producing reinforced concrete products and metal structures. It is known that the company produces transformer and reactor equipment.
Preliminary reports indicate that there were no injuries, as there were no people in the building at the time of the fire. The probable cause of the fire was not reported.
