For the New Year holidays, Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled Christmas express trains in Kyiv and Lviv, retro-style trains with steam-powered locomotives. Such trains will run across the country for 4 days.
This is reported by the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Christmas express trains will run on December 23, 24, 30 and 31.
In the capital, holiday trains will depart twice a day: at 10:27 and 12:40.
In Lviv – three times a day: at 10:05, 13:00 and 15:20.
Tickets for the retro train can be purchased in the app and through Ukrzaliznytsia’s chatbots: for Kyiv, by searching “Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi – Kyiv-Kazkovyi”, for Lviv, “Lviv – Lviv-Kazkovyi.”
30% of the seats in the cars are allocated for free travel for children of fallen railroad workers, military personnel and passengers of other social categories.
Ukrzaliznytsia advises to come to the station early to have time to take a photo near the locomotive and take part in the festive program. Entertainment, goodies and gifts will be organized for children in the cars.
