Acer unveils new Predator Helios laptops with artificial intelligence features
Acer will make an impact on the Indian laptop market with its latest AI (artificial intelligence) gaming laptops. New Predator Helio 16 and Predator Helio Neo models have been announced for the region. They have advanced features and functions.
Acer Predator Helios 16
Speaking of the more expensive model first, the brand’s Predator Helios 16 comes with top-notch hardware. The laptop is equipped with a tall 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1200, a maximum brightness of 500 nits, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and a response time of 3 ms. Under the hood, the laptop is equipped with a 14th-generation Intel Core i9 processor, which is paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 or RTX 4070 graphics processor. This model was launched in India last month.
It’s paired with 16GB of GDDR5 RAM (expandable up to 32GB) and 1TB of PCIe Gen4 storage (expandable up to 2TB). It runs on Windows 11 with support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The port selection includes 1 USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, 1 USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, and 2 USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 4) ports. A large 90 Wh battery powers this device, which is charged via a 330 W AC adapter.
Acer Predator Helios Neo
Acer Predator Helios Neo features a 16-inch IPS display with the same resolution, response time, and brightness. Although its maximum refresh rate is 165 Hz. The hardware of this gaming laptop starts with a 13th generation Intel i7 processor, but there are also 14th generation i7 and 14th generation i9 options. This processor is paired with an RTX 4050, RTX 4060, or RTX 4070 graphics card. Earlier in the US, a 14-inch version of this model was announced.
Similar to the Helios 16, the Neo also has the same memory configuration, OS, connectivity options, ports, and battery capacity. AI capabilities on both laptops include a 3rd microphone and Voice Purifier 2.0. In fact, it is a noise reduction technology based on artificial intelligence. Other notable features on both laptops include DLSS 3.5 with the new RTX 4000 series cards, a replaceable WASD Magkey 3.0, and a keyboard with FineTip RGB backlighting.

Acer’s latest gaming laptops will be available on major platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Acer eShip, Croma, Vijay Sales, and partner retailers. They come with a high price tag:
