Bayraktar TB2 drones supplied to Ukraine by Baykar Tech can boast of a very high build quality that allows them to ‘hold’ a blow. An employee of Ukrainian military intelligence told journalists about it.
A senior officer with the call sign ‘Odesa’ noted that all Bayraktar TB2 flight systems are duplicated. Thanks to this, he can return to the base even with significant damage. Next to the Zaporizhzhia NPP, the Ukrainian Bayraktar TB2 was attacked by the occupiers with an anti-aircraft missile fired from the S-300 complex. Contact with him was lost. Meanwhile, a few hours later, the drone returned to the airfield, after which it made an emergency landing. He was injured, but did not fall to the ground. After the repair, the drone attacked by the Russians performed many tasks.
Another incident involving the Bayraktar TB2 involved its defeat by a Russian aircraft with an air-to-air missile. Despite the damage, the UAV managed to return to the base, where it landed safely. ‘Odesa’ emphasized that Turkish drones are very durable. Their resistance to mechanical damage is due to the high quality of assembly.
