The Armed Forces received a counter-battery station from Lockheed Martin for EUR 50 million
During the last week, the ZSU received a Cobra counter-battery radar and four Gepard anti-aircraft guns from the Bundeswehr. The notification is posted on the website of the German government.
The message emphasizes that the Ukrainian army has already managed to receive 20 Gepard installations out of the 30 promised. In addition, Germany supplied 4,000 units of shells to them. Another 6,000 ammunition will be handed over to the Armed Forces in the near future.
The cost of the Cobra counter-battery radar is over EUR 50 million. It is designed to determine enemy artillery positions. The device was developed by a consortium that included Lockheed Martin, Airbus D&S and Thales.
Cobra counter-battery stations are in service with the German, French and British armies. In addition, Ankara purchased several units for its armed forces. Thus, Ukraine became the fifth state in the world whose army is equipped with Cobra radars.
