Google is moving Gmail users to a new interface

Google is starting to transfer users to the new interface of the Gmail mail service. The company announced that it will disable the ability to return to the previous version of the interface within two weeks.

Google calls Gmail’s new look an ‘integrated’ view. Its left sidebar has the ability to switch between different services, including Mail, Chat, Spaces, and Meet. Hovering over these buttons opens a small pop-up menu for a preview, and clicking them fills the entire screen with the corresponding program. If the extra buttons look distracting, Meet and Chat can be turned off in the settings menu. Then the entire sidebar is hidden.

Google started testing the new Gmail interface back in February and since then has been gradually pushing users to switch to this option. In July, the new design became the main one, although it remained possible to return to the previous version of the interface. Now the new user interface becomes the only one available for operation.
