Elon Musk announces Twitter rebranding to X

Twitter is going down in history. Elon Musk is determined to rebrand: he wants to change the logo and name of the social network, as well as its color scheme. A few hours ago, Musk posted a tweet in which he speaks directly about this:

“We will soon say goodbye to the Twitter brand and gradually to all the birds.”

One of the messages explains his idea:

“To embody all the imperfections that make us unique”

The imminent replacement of the network’s logo can be considered a done deal, although the final version has not yet been chosen. First, Musk wrote:

I need the best
“If a good enough logo X is published tonight, we’ll launch it globally tomorrow.”

An hour later, he presented an animated logo (perhaps not the final one):

The owner of the social network also wants to make black its default color, and has launched a vote on this.

Anticipating discontent, Musk says:

“To be honest, I like the negative feedback on this platform. It’s much better than some censorship bureau that stinks!”

Another tweet today is not about rebranding, but sheds light on Musk’s thoughts on smart devices:

“We have to stop making our appliances so ‘smart’.

This is a very strange statement for a developer of self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, and humanoid robots. It’s hard to say whether Musk was referring to concerns about AI or the “smart” algorithms of social networks that drive search results.

In addition, Twitter has officially confirmed the limit on the number of personal messages that an unverified user can send. This is explained by the fight against spam. It is not yet known when the restriction will take effect and what the daily limit will be.

To send more messages per day, you will need to subscribe to Twitter Blue for $8 per month. The blue check mark also allows you to write messages up to 10 thousand. characters and edit them after sending.
