Russia is preparing mass production of RS-28 Sarmat ballistic missiles with 7.5 Mt nuclear warheads and a range of 18,000 km
Russia is preparing to launch mass production of RS-28 Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missiles. This was recently stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to the Kremlin leader, Russian specialists have to complete administrative and bureaucratic procedures and put the missiles on alert. This should be done in the near future.
What’s interesting about this story is that about a month and a half ago, the Russians officially announced that intercontinental ballistic missiles were put on alert. As we can see, one of the officials is lying again.
During his recent speech, Putin also announced that all work on the RS-28 Sarmat has been completed. Now the defense industry is preparing to start mass production of these missiles.
Officially, Russia claims that the RS-28 can deliver a nuclear warhead anywhere in the world. The nuclear charge yield is 7.5 megatons. The range reaches 18,000 km. It is difficult to say how much these figures correspond to reality.
