Fleeing flooding caused by the explosion of a dam at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, a dog on a board swam from Kherson region to Odesa region, where it was rescued by local residents. The touching video went viral on social media.

The dog, which was caught in the flood zone, was brought on a board from Kherson region to Odesa region. The footage shows a large amount of debris that washed up on the shore. Among them was a board with a passenger – an animal that was fleeing from the deep water.

The dog was found on an improvised raft by locals who were apparently having a picnic on the shore.

“Come on, come on, come here,” the man says, but the frightened animal does not immediately dare to approach.

The man persuades the dog, telling him that he has water and sausages. You can also hear several voices behind the scenes giving advice.

As a result, the man let the animal sniff his hand, and then he was able to pet it.

“You’re beaten up, man. Can you imagine how he was spinning?” the man exclaims.

On June 7, a touching kitten was rescued from a flooded street in Kherson. The man, wading in knee-deep water, heard a soft meow and found a small kitten clinging to the wall with its claws with the last of its strength to avoid falling into the water. Without hesitation, he grabbed the kitten and carried it to a safe place.
