The man was driving in the center of Groningen and suddenly crashed into a pole. During the check, the police found that he had a license that was valid until the end of 3000.
The police in Groningen arrested the man for drunken driving, and found a fake driver’s license in the name of Boris Johnson. This was reported by the Dutch broadcaster NOS.
The incident occurred in the city center. Police officers were on duty and suddenly noticed a car crashing into a pillar. The driver refused to take a blood alcohol test, according to the local edition of 112 Groningen.
The 35-year-old resident of the northern city of Südhorn violated traffic rules, OOG TV reported.
Judging by the photo shown by the police, the Ukrainian-style license was issued by the Kyiv-Svyatoshinsky district traffic police.
It is worth noting that the traffic police was liquidated in November 2015 by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Driving licenses in Ukraine are issued at service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The name, photo, date and place of birth coincide with the real data of the former British Prime Minister. The seventh paragraph of the license contains the text “Good evening, we are from Ukraine,” and the document is valid until the end of 3000.
“The driver’s license looks like a Ukrainian one, but it is not known whether the driver posing as Johnson has Ukrainian citizenship,” the journalists noted.
NOS correspondent Kisia Hexter noted that in tourist shops in Ukraine you can buy souvenir driver’s licenses of famous people.
“I have one in the name of (former German Chancellor) Angela Merkel and (Ukrainian President) Volodymyr Zelenskyy,” Hexter added.
