An F-117 Nighthawk attack aircraft was filmed during a flight (photos, video)
Lockheed Martin’s F-117 Nighthawk stealth attack aircraft are apparently not planning to retire. According to The War Zone, an Instagram user with the nickname @stinkjet recently posted photos of two aircraft.
They were flying over California at an extremely low altitude. The man took a picture of them near the top of one of the hills through which the Sidewinder training route runs. It is used by pilots of many military aircraft to gain low-altitude flying skills.
The Sidewinner route runs between the Panamint Valley and Owens. According to the author of the photographs, the US Air Force has recently begun using F-117s quite frequently. Despite this, it is a great success to photograph them at an ultra-low altitude. Most likely, the stealth attack aircraft were testing new sensors during the shooting.

The US Air Force began decommissioning the F-117 in 2008. The attack aircraft had served them faithfully for 25 years. They are no longer involved in combat operations. At the same time, the Air Force has 45 more attack aircraft in service. They will be in service until 2034.
