In Iceland and Norway, a strange unnatural phenomenon was recorded in the night sky – it resembled a spiral galaxy or an alien ship. An object in the form of a blue spiral that suddenly appeared and then disappeared just as quickly. This was reported by the Daily Mai.
The mysterious spiral has a simple explanation. It turns out that it was caused by the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket by SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk. During the launch, the rocket delivered 53 small satellites into Earth orbit.
When the second stage of the rocket completed its mission, it began to return to Earth to crash in the Pacific Ocean. The blue spiral appeared in the atmosphere when the second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket fired its engines to dump unnecessary fuel.
When the rocket fuel was ejected, it froze and turned into crystals, and because the rocket stage was rotating, a spiral of frozen fuel particles appeared. The spiral was then illuminated by the sun and became clearly visible to observers in northern Europe as the rocket’s stage descended over the Arctic Ocean.
In fact, this is not the first time that SpaceX rockets have created the impression that a spiral galaxy or UFO has appeared in the night sky. There are several such cases and, according to experts, such spirals are actually a common byproduct of Elon Musk’s rocket launches.
On January 15, Chinese social networks were flooded with thousands of messages from eyewitnesses who claimed to have seen a UFO in the sky. The object reportedly “had three light sources, looked like a cloud, and moved quickly and silently.” Scientists have suggested that this phenomenon may be related to the launch of a Falcon 9 rocket by SpaceX on January 14. The rocket launched another set of satellites into orbit.
