Bing Chat – Microsoft’s AI tool becomes available in mobile browsers
After Bing Chat became available in Chrome and Safari, Microsoft’s AI tool is now heading to browsers for mobile operating systems.
Bing Chat was first launched in February, but it was limited to the Microsoft Edge browser. Now the tool is starting to spread among smartphone and tablet owners, perhaps the largest audience. This is the subject of a post on the Microsoft Bing blog, dedicated to the celebration of 6 months since the launch of Bing Chat.
We’re excited to announce that you’ll soon be able to use the new Bing AI in third-party web browsers on mobile devices. This move will allow Bing to demonstrate to more people the value of generated answers, image creation, and more.
However, Microsoft’s Bing blog says that the best experience with Bing Chat can be achieved through Edge. For example, there are limitations for desktop users of Safari and Chrome – the length of a hint is limited to 2000 words (instead of 4000 in Edge), and the length of a dialog is limited to 5 iterations instead of 30. You’ll also have to contemplate pop-ups prompting you to download the Microsoft browser.
