Blame Musk: SpaceX employees are injured more often than others in the industry

An investigation into working conditions at SpaceX found that there were more than 600 injuries that occurred in 2014, but this was never reported publicly.

This was reported by Reuters.

Employees quoted in the report accuse Elon Musk of aggressive deadlines and underestimating risks, claiming that his rush to get people to Mars has led to disregard for protocols and disorderly management.

Reuters notes that the injury rate at some SpaceX facilities is much higher than the industry average. For example, in 2022, the injury rate at the Brownsville plant was 4.8 per 100 employees. In addition, workers suffered serious injuries, including fractures, burns, electric shocks, and head injuries. In addition, Reuters claims that SpaceX has repeatedly concealed injury data from regulators.
