The announcement also notes that the company will have a new board of directors, which will include Bret Taylor, Larry Summers and Adam D’Angelo.
Sam Altman confirmed his reinstatement, writing that he had done everything he could to preserve the unity of the OpenAI team and the company’s mission. The same was confirmed by one of OpenAI’s founders, Greg Brockman, who posted a photo with his employees and the caption “We’re coming back.”
According to VentureBeat, now that Sam is back in the company, the situation at OpenAI is expected to stabilize. However, at this stage, the fate of Twitch’s Emmett Shear, who was appointed interim CEO after Altman’s dismissal, remains unclear.
Yesterday, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the fired Sam Altman would join the corporation to work on AI-based products.
