ChatGPT gets smarter: artificial intelligence learns to generate more meaningful answers
ChatGPT, a popular chatbot from OpenAI, has received a major update.
The company announced that Premium users (ChatGPT Plus, Team, or Enterprise) can now use an improved version of GPT-4 Turbo, one of the models underlying ChatGPT.
The new model (“gpt-4-turbo-2024-04-09”) demonstrates clear success in written answers, solving math and logic problems, and writing code.
The knowledge base has also been improved – it now contains data up to December 2023, unlike the previous version, which was relevant until April 2023.
“ChatGPT responses created using GPT-4 Turbo will be more direct, less verbose, and using more natural language,” explains OpenAI in its post on X.
The chatbot update comes after a series of not-so-pleasant news around OpenAI. For example, The Intercept found that Microsoft proposed to use the DALL-E image generation model for military purposes.
And according to The Information, OpenAI fired two researchers, allegedly for disclosing internal information.
