“Dune 2 was filmed using Ukrainian lenses, which were manufactured from the trenches

IronGlass solutions were used in the world-famous movie.

During the filming of Dune 2, lenses for Ukrainian-made cameras were used, Konstantin Garkavy of IronGlass wrote on Facebook.

“Almost two years of waiting and finally we can say that lenses produced by IronGlass x VLFV Lens Rehousing – User Group were actively involved in the filming process,” Konstantin wrote.

He adds that the second part of Dune became a testing ground for the Ukrainian technological solution.

“The development of this body and mechanics began in 2021, and in early 2022, the next prototypes were made, and then there was the war. Despite the hard times, the team continued to work, some on the ground, some remotely from the trenches,” explains Harkavyi.

The Ukrainian adds that the lenses were used to their fullest on the set of Dune.

“I am pleased that MKll from IronGlass was chosen among thousands of other options, that they worked perfectly without any complaints about the mechanics and optical component, that even in difficult times in a country at war we can make a world-class product and be involved in exciting movie events,” summarized Kostyantyn Garkavyi.

IronGlass x VLFV Lens Rehousing – User Group, mentioned by Konstantin Garkavy, has an office in London. Its director is Ivan Sichkar. Over the 5 years of its existence, the company has delivered its products to 33 countries. At the same time, it sold 452 and repaired 852 lenses.
