Elon Musk announced a new electric car model in X. According to the billionaire’s message, Tesla is preparing the next generation of the Roadster model for the premiere.
According to Musk, the global car market has never seen such a car, if it can be called a car at all. The next-generation Tesla Roadster will be presented to the general public later this year. The first production roadsters are scheduled to be shipped in 2025.
Musk claims that the new electric car will take less than a second to accelerate to 96.5 km/h. The top version of the Tesla Raodster will have a range of 620 miles, which is equivalent to almost 1,000 km.
The Tesla Roadster prototype premiered in the fall of 2017. Thus, Tesla will start mass production of the new model eight years after the official presentation.
