Elon Musk in Poland: he appeared at a conference against anti-Semitism

American businessman, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX Elon Musk has arrived in Poland. There he will take part in a conference on combating anti-Semitism and visit the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz.

This was reported by Polish radio RMF24.

It is noted that Musk landed at Balice Airport near Krakow on the evening of Sunday, January 21.

During the visit, he is to take part in an international symposium in Krakow on combating anti-Semitism, as well as in a ceremony at the former Auschwitz concentration camp as part of an event organized by the European Jewish Association (EJA). The event will also be attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Andrzej Sheyna.

“Perhaps there will be other politicians and government officials,” the official added.

In particular, Musk is to take part in a discussion with American conservative Ben Shapiro at a symposium on combating anti-Semitism on the Internet. The event is organized on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which will be held next week.

No official meetings between the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and the social network X and the Polish government are expected. “There are no negotiations about a meeting. This is a very private visit,” said Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski.

According to Milosz Babiecki of the University of Warmia and Mazury, the reason for Musk’s visit to Auschwitz is “an attempt to improve his image and distance himself from accusations of spreading anti-Semitism on Platform X. According to him, the businessman came to Poland to prove that he is not an anti-Semite.

As a reminder, the White House accused Elon Musk of spreading “disgusting lies” about Jews after the owner of Company X responded favorably to an anti-Semitic post on the platform.
Amid these accusations, the American businessman arrived in Israel and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
