Facebook will remove religious and sexual preferences from users’ profiles

From December 1, the company Meta will remove information about their preferences and lives from the profiles of Facebook users, reports Engadget. These are addresses, sexual orientation, political and religious views.

Earlier, this information was voiced by a specialist in social networks, Matt Navarre.

Other user-provided data, such as contact information and relationship status, will remain. You can download a copy of your data from Facebook until December 1 to keep all the information there.

This step will reduce the amount of information specified in the ‘Contacts and basic information’ section and increase the privacy of user data.
