The first photos of the compact budget electric car Zhidou Rainbow have been published. According to CarNewsChina, it will debut on the Chinese car market in April.
Zhidou Rainbow is to be the first model of a Chinese company to be released after bankruptcy. This was made possible by Geely, which bought and revived the brand. The new product is positioned as a direct competitor to Chery’s QQ Ice Cream and Wuling Hongguang Mini EV. This means that its price will be about 5,000 USD.
Visually, Zhidou Rainbow is similar to its competitors. It has an angular design with a short hood, vertical rear roof pillars and small body overhangs. The headlights and lights of the electric car are diode. With a wheelbase of 2,100 mm, it has the following dimensions: 3,224 x 1,515 x 1,630 mm.
The budget electric car weighs 800 kg. Its carrying capacity is 300 kg. The Zhidou Rainbow salon can accommodate four people. Unfortunately, photos of the interior have not been made public yet. It is known that the electric car will be supplied to the market with 27- and 41-horsepower power plants. The traction battery has a capacity of 17.3 kWh. This is enough to provide a range of 205 km.
