Google is launching a free training program in Ukraine on the basics of working with cloud technologies and beyond
Google today announced a new initiative to support Ukrainian business and IT specialists — a free educational program ‘Develop a career with Google Cloud’ for Ukrainians who seek to gain knowledge and practical skills in working with cloud technologies. The educational stream will last from October 4 to December 3, 2022, and will be taught entirely online.
Why is it needed?
The program is designed to help IT developers and students gain the practical skills they need to advance their careers or find a new job. Actually, Google aims to teach up to 10,000 Ukrainians the basics of working with cloud technologies by the end of 2023.
According to Google, 86% of leading IT companies believe that cloud computing skills significantly facilitate the execution of key projects. After graduation, graduates will be able to receive the Google Cloud Skill Badge, which will help confirm their qualifications and build a career in the desired field. These special skill badges can be added to your resume or LinkedIn profile. They will serve as a clear signal to the employer, as they will confirm the real experience of working with the useful functions of the Google Cloud platform.
Who is the program for?
The program was created in Ukraine for:
- IT professionals and developers who want to develop their skills and career in cloud technology.
- IT students who are graduating next year and need cloud skills for future employment.
- At the same time, for effective learning, it is recommended to have at least a basic level of English.
Scope of the program
The program covers five areas of study, divided by subject:
- cloud infrastructure;
- application development;
- machine learning;
- Artificial Intelligence;
- analysis of large data sets.
What the participants of the program will receive
- 60 days of free access to all courses on the Google Cloud Skills Boost platform.
- Practical experience and Google Cloud skill badges (Google Cloud skill badges), which confirm that specialists have knowledge and practical experience of working in the cloud, which will help in the development of a career in the field of cloud technologies.
- Individual areas of study that can be chosen according to interests. Each area of study contains collections of content that combine on-demand online courses with hands-on learning. For beginners, the training course “Getting to know and starting to work with Google Cloud” is recommended, since the content in it is localized in the Ukrainian language.
- Prizes for earning three or more skill badges.
- Access to cloud experts in Q&A sessions.
How to register
Studying in the program will take place in streams. Training for the first stream will begin on October 4, 2022. You can register using this link.
