It can surpass Tesla: Mercedes-Benz unveils electric car concept (video)

Mercedes-Benz has presented the CLA Class EV concept, which is characterized by a long range and fast charging capabilities.

Mercedes-Benz’s new electric sedan based on modular architecture (MMA) is presented as a concept car, but production is scheduled to begin in late 2024.

The CLA Class concept has almost the same dimensions as the current CLA sedan and uses an 800-volt architecture. It is equipped with a 235 horsepower rear electric motor and a new heat pump system to maintain the batteries in cold weather. The range of the concept is 750 kilometers, and fast charging allows you to add 321 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes.

The concept’s interior features a water-cooled processor, silver leather seats, and a super-screen that covers the entire dashboard. The production version is expected to feature a design that includes parts similar to other Mercedes-Benz EQ electric models.

One of the features of the production version of the electric CLA is the presence of an automated driving system in Level 3, which will be activated via wireless updates. Additional features, such as battery capacity, range, and price, will be revealed in the near future.
