It is called hypersonic: Iran unveils updated Fattah 2 missile with direct-flow engine

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Space Force has unveiled an updated Fattah 2 missile, which is called hypersonic.

This was reported by the state-run IRNA.

The latest achievements of Iran in aerospace technologies were demonstrated at the Ashura University of Aerospace Science and Technology. Among other things, the Fattah 2 missile was shown. It is positioned as a missile of two classes: Hypersonic Glide Vehicle and Hypersonic Cruise Missile.

Iran is said to be one of only four countries in the world capable of building hypersonic missiles. It is noted that the first generation of Fattah missiles was presented on June 6, 2023. What exactly has changed in Fattah 2 is not reported. At the same time, it is known that the munition is equipped with a direct-flow air-jet engine and a turbojet engine for propulsion.

It was claimed that the first generation of Fattah missiles has a range of up to 1400 km and is capable of overcoming any air defense system.
