Jill Biden and her granddaughter wear Ukrainian colors to Charles III’s coronation
The wife and granddaughter of US President Joe Biden chose yellow and blue ensembles.
US First Lady Jill Biden and her granddaughter Naomi arrived at Westminster Abbey for the coronation of Charles III. The American women clearly demonstrated their support for Ukraine, which is resisting Russian aggression, by choosing symbolic colors for their ensembles.
For example, Jill wore a light blue suit consisting of a skirt just below the knees and a jacket with a side wrap, complementing the look with a hair bow in the same color and light shoes with a clutch.
Naomi wore an elegant yellow dress with a matching cape on top and a headband with flowers, leaving her hair loose.
The US president’s family was at the reception at Buckingham Palace the day before. Jill looked gorgeous in a black dress with a large floral print, while Naomi wore a green monochrome ensemble.
In total, about 2300 guests were invited to Charles’s coronation, including the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. This is significantly less than the number of guests at the coronation of Elizabeth II more than 70 years ago. Back then, about 8,000 people attended the ceremony. However, as you know, Charles III decided to make his coronation less expensive.
