LG Electronics has completely suspended supplies of equipment to Russia
On March 18, the South Korean company LG Electronics announced a complete suspension of supplies to Russia – a sharp change in the position of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electronics and home appliances, which previously flatly refused.
There are only two sentences in the official statement of LG Electronics.
“We are deeply concerned about the health and safety of all people. LG remains committed to supporting humanitarian efforts. ” – LG Electronics
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the ex-employees of the Ukrainian LG have already put pressure on the top management of the tech giant and demanded to close the business in Russia in order not to finance the aggressor. And now LG has changed its position on the war in Ukraine under public pressure.
To date, due to the war in Ukraine, more than 300 global companies and brands from various fields have announced the suspension or cessation of activities in Russia. At the same time, many companies remain, including in the field of IT, which continue to work in Russia and finance Russia’s bloody war against Ukraine.
