The War Artists Union project in cooperation with iF Gallery organizes a presentation of a series of paintings by the famous Ukrainian artist and architect Serhiy Kovalev entitled “Dream over the cities of Ukraine”. The event will take place on Friday, November 24, 2023, at 16:00 in the City Zen Park business center, at the address: ul. 1, Sumy (near Vasylkivska metro station).
Serhiy Kovalev’s collection includes 12 paintings depicting a symbolic “Dream” over various cities of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Sevastopol, and Gostomel. These works convey the artist’s dream of rebuilding cities after the bombing, liberating the occupied territories, and returning Ukraine’s borders to their 1991 state.
Kovalev, born in 1989 in Kyiv, received a classical art and architectural education. His works are in the private collections of such celebrities as Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and Latin American architect Jorge Mario Jauregui. Recently, the artist has become interested in vector graphics and was inspired by a photo from 2011 showing a Mriya plane over Donetsk.
Visitors will be able to talk to Serhiy Kovalev in person, learn more about his work and purchase paintings or souvenirs from the collection. The exhibition will run from November 24 to December 3, 2023, open daily from 15:00 to 19:00. Entrance to the exhibition is free.
