SBU Special Forces destroy rare “Podlet” radar station of occupants (video)

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost its third Podlet station, which is supposed to serve as a targeting system for air defense assets.

Ukrainian Special Forces from the Center of Special Operations “A” destroyed another 26 targets of the occupiers. Among them is the rare 48YA6-K1 Podlet radar station. This was reported by the SBU press service.

Special forces from the White Wolf unit destroyed 26 Russian targets:

  • tank;
  • MTLB;
  • 2 armored vehicles;
  • Murom-P surveillance complex;
  • Podlet radar with the control machine;
  • REB;
  • 3 120-mm mortars;
  • 7 dugouts;
  • 2 ammunition depots and other facilities.

It is also noted that about 40 Russian soldiers were killed during the fighting. The destruction of the facilities was carried out using drones and shells dropped from them.

The Podlet radar is a universal mobile three-axis station designed to detect targets at low and ultra-low altitudes and in conditions of interference. It was created by the Russian air defense company Almaz-Antey for the Russian army. The radar serves as a targeting device for S-300 and S-400 air defense missile systems. It has been in service with the Russian Federation since 2015.

According to Oryx, the occupiers lost two Podlet radar stations, one command vehicle for it, and one mobile generator.

As a reminder, on July 11, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the S-400 air defense system of Russian troops, namely the launcher and radar.

On July 9, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the valuable Zoopark radar using a drone.
