On the morning of Tuesday, August 8, SpaceX launched 15 of its Starlink Internet satellites into low Earth orbit, Space.com reports.
At 6:57 a.m. Kyiv time (almost midnight in the United States), a Falcon 9 cargo rocket carrying the Starlink spacecraft lifted off from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
This is the fifth flight of the first stage launch vehicle. It has previously launched the SDA-0A mission and three Starlink missions.
After separation of the second stage, the Falcon will land as usual on the Of Course I Still Love You platform in the Pacific Ocean.
As a reminder, there are already so many Starlink satellites in orbit that they have to avoid congestion.
