SpaceX plans to launch Falcon Heavy rocket on July 26

SpaceX has scheduled a Falcon Heavy rocket launch for July 26 from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Space reports.

The Falcon Heavy launch is scheduled to take place at 06:04 Kyiv time, and the live broadcast will be available on Space.com.

This mission will be the seventh for the Falcon Heavy rocket, which was the most powerful active rocket in the world before NASA’s Space Launch System debuted with the Artemis 1 mission in November 2022.

But SpaceX plans to regain this status with the next-generation Starship rocket. SpaceX expects it to become the most powerful in history.

The Falcon Heavy consists of three fastened first stages of the Falcon 9 rocket, which are designed for reuse. The two lateral boosters are expected to return to Earth 8 minutes after launch and land at the Cape Canaveral Cosmodrome.

Due to the satellite’s heavy weight, Jupiter 3, the central booster, will not return to Earth after launch.

Jupiter 3 weighs 10.1 tons and will be the heaviest payload ever launched into geostationary orbit, at an altitude of approximately 35,700 km above the Earth.
