Terrorist fighters destroyed an important and rare target, fighters “shot” racists with drones

The Russian Tor SAM became one of the most expensive targets destroyed by an FPV drone

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have destroyed a rather rare target with the help of FPV drones. Volunteer Serhiy Sternenko posted a video on his social media of our attack drone operators literally “shooting” a Russian Tor anti-aircraft missile system.

The enemy’s SAM was destroyed by fighters of the Krylia unit of the 103rd separate brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Territorial Defense Forces in the Kupyansk sector. As OSINT researchers have already identified, the vehicle was hit near the village of Sofiyivka, Svatove district, Luhansk region.

As noted, this is the second time in the last month that the soldiers of this brigade have hit an enemy Tor surface-to-air missile system – the previous machine managed to escape, although it was probably damaged.

But in the second episode, the racists were “out of luck.” Although it was certainly not the occupiers’ luck – it is worth noting that this appears to have been a rather sophisticated operation, with several drones being sent at the vehicle at once – the video shows at least three hits on the enemy vehicle.

“The cost of such a project is 24 million dollars or more. That is more than 900 million hryvnias. And this is at least 4 times (!!!) more than we have raised in total for almost 14,000 FPVs over the entire period,” the statement said. Although it is difficult to estimate the real cost of the enemy’s Thor, in any case, we are talking about the destruction of a rather valuable and rare weapon.

And here we can only emphasize once again that FPV drones are a fairly cheap and effective weapon that should be supplied to the troops in literally thousands, if not even tens of thousands.

And today we can say that the process of saturating the Armed Forces with these weapons is already in fact “on stream” – because all possible resources are involved, from volunteers to programs like the “Army of Drones.” It is also worth mentioning the recent statement by the head of Ukroboronprom, Herman Smetanin, that the facilities of state-owned enterprises are licensed to produce FPV drones of existing models. And now the question remains of increasing production, because such weapons are never “enough” on the battlefield.
