Tesla is rolling out cubic lounges at Supercharger stations with automated coffee, food and more

Electric car owners who use the services of commercial charging stations are often forced to look for something to occupy themselves while charging. Sitting inside the car or walking around it is far from the smartest decision, but there is often no alternative, since, unlike gas stations, electric charging stations have not yet had time to grow with the appropriate infrastructure. The company bk World decided to solve a similar problem, which installed its branded automated MAF (small architectural form) Qubes next to one of the branded Tesla Superchargers in Germany.

The premises are built on the basis of modular blocks that can be quickly assembled, disassembled and transported to a new location. To get inside, you need to download the branded bk World application on your smartphone, generate a QR code and scan it using the camera on the front door. In this way, the company wants to maintain order and avoid damage to property without service personnel.

Inside, an air-conditioned space awaits the visitor, where they can order food and drinks from vending machines (there is even a separate mini-pizza machine, but for some reason it was placed outside), use the toilet, or just sit in the waiting area with sockets for laptops and smartphones. Well, kids will surely appreciate a TV with a connected Nintendo Switch game console and a pair of joysticks.

This is one of the first Qubes waiting areas from bk World, but the company representatives said that they planned to install about 300 such stations across Europe, and not all of them will be near Tesla Superchargers, other electric charging networks will also be able to install such a solution.
