The American M109 ACS entered service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Defense Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said that three types of 155-mm artillery were already working successfully at the front – the M777 howitzer, the FH70 howitzer, the CAESAR anti-aircraft gun, and that the M109 self-propelled artillery unit had already arrived in Ukraine.
“Three types of 155-mm artillery are already working successfully on the front line – M777 howitzer, FH70 howitzer, CAESAR ACS. It was simply unrealistic to imagine it back in March. But today it is a reality.
Glad to announce the news – the 155 mm artillery fleet is being replenished. M109 ACS has already arrived in Ukraine in one of the modifications. This is a very high-quality technique,” – the minister wrote on Facebook.
Reznikov also said that Ukraine’s coastal defense will be strengthened by Harpoon missiles, and among the latest revenues – more than 100 American UAVs of various types.
In addition, over the past month and a half, Ukraine has received more NATO-style artillery shells than the Soviet-style projectile armaments market.
