The Chinese have learned to simultaneously control three large Scorpion drones

Chinese television showed a fragment of a training exercise in which operators were able to simultaneously control three unmanned aerial vehicles of the People’s Liberation Army using one ground station.

Managing a large number of drones is not something supernatural. However, Chinese specialists decided to learn how to fly huge drones at the same time. They used Scorpion drones.

These drones can carry airborne bombs and missiles, and can also be equipped with smaller drones. As part of the exercise, the three scorpions took off from the airfield in turn and lined up in several formations in the air.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army uses the Scorpion to fly around Taiwan. They flew near the island several times, but each time separately. It is possible that in the future China will launch drones in groups.

The Scorpion is 10 meters long, has a wingspan of 20 meters and two engines. The maximum takeoff weight of the drone is 2.8 tons. The drone can stay in the air for 35 hours and climb to an altitude of up to 8,000 meters. The range is 6000 km.

In conclusion, the Scorpion is available in the TB-A version, which has one more engine. The takeoff weight has been increased by 450 kg. This version of the drone can fly for 40 hours. The maximum flight altitude is 10 km, the speed is 380 km/h, and the range is 8000 km.
