The electric G-Class won’t debut until 2024, but Mercedes-Benz engineers have already implemented what they call the ‘G-Turn.’ This allows the SUV to spin in place, therefore cornering like a tank.
You must be wondering how EQG knows which direction it should turn. Journalist Greg Cable says that there are paddles on the steering wheel that allow the driver to choose whether to maneuver clockwise or counterclockwise.
While this feature will come in handy off-road, it seems inevitable that owners will use this feature on paved roads to show off the car’s capabilities and paint a few black laps.
