Russian oligarchs and institutions have lost access to luxury yachts, helicopters, paintings, real estate and other assets worth more than 12.5 billion euros as a result of EU sanctions.
“The amount of frozen assets of Russian oligarchs almost doubled from 6.7 billion euros in April to more than 12.5 billion euros,” – said Die Welt, a spokesman for the European Commission for Justice Christian Wiegand.
He attributed such a sharp increase in frozen assets to the fact that many facilities belonging to Russian oligarchs have been identified and blocked in recent weeks, especially in Germany.
