The legendary Winamp is reborn – the audio player has received support for Windows 11
Home audio legend Winamp has been given new life. The development team released a new version of the audio player four years after the release of the build under the number 5.8.
It has kept all the previous functions and received several new ones, including compatibility with the latest version of the ‘operating system’ from Microsoft – Windows 11.
Internet radio support, iTunes library import, wireless synchronization with Winamp for Android, control from the browser (via a special widget), a new playlist generator and a podcast catalog are also announced.
In addition, Winamp 5.9 RC1 improved Windows 7 support and added support for the VP8 video codec.

We will remind you that last month, Microsoft retired the Internet Explorer browser, which was once used by almost everyone who accessed the Internet.
As it turned out, not everyone was ready to say goodbye to the legend. The death of Internet Explorer was a big blow to Japanese business, where almost half of the organizations still used this browser for work. The resulting chaos is expected to last ‘several months’ at best.
