At 10:06, the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko reported that an explosion occurred in a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyi district as a result of the strike. At that time, 18 people were rescued from the rubble.
Rescuers later found the body of a dead woman at the scene, as of 11:32 a.m. one person was under the rubble. Three people were hospitalized. Already by 12:25, the number of dead increased to two, 19 people were rescued, four were injured, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said.
According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, just this morning five ‘arrivals’ of kamikaze drones were recorded in Kyiv. Russia launched 28 such drones in the direction of Kyiv.
‘Energy facilities and a residential building were damaged,’ the head of the Ukrainian government said.
Mayor Klitschko also reported that a cat was pulled out from under the rubble of the building.
