Dubai is going to build the tallest residential building in the world — a 112-story “hypertower” called Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, according to the developer’s website. Yes, the record of the Central Park Tower, the 472-meter skyscraper in New York, can be broken.
The building, called Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, is the result of a collaboration between Emirati developer Binghatti and watch brand Jacob & Co.
The authors of the project decorated the skyscraper with a “crown” of diamond-shaped spiers to give it even greater grandeur and scale. The building is planned to be built in the heart of Dubai’s most famous financial district, Business Bay.
“The proposed development includes over 100 floors comprising of two and three bedroom luxury residences. This hypertower also houses a dedicated concierge team offering services such as daycare, security, chauffeur and personal chef,” the developer said in a statement. .
At the top of the skyscraper will be located “five of the most luxurious and exclusive penthouses in Dubai”.
“Soaring on top of the world, they offer limitless views of the city skyline, taking in Downtown and the Dubai Water Canal. Inspired by our haute horology collections, these penthouses will consist of three types, each named after our flagship Jacob & Co watches — Fleurs De Jardin, Astronomia and Billionaire. The interior design of the penthouse collection will be directly inspired by their unique aesthetics. As the name suggests, the Billionaire Penthouse is the crown jewel of the hypertower,” said Jacob & Co Chairman and Creative Director Jacob Arabo.
According to Binghatti CEO and Head of Architecture, Muhammad Binghatti, the two brands under construction were ‘born out of a pure desire to achieve something that breaks boundaries.’
‘What Binghatti has done in real estate, creating a brand with a distinct design philosophy and architectural identity, is very similar to what Jacob & Co has done in the world of jewelry and watchmaking.’
An opening date for Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences has not yet been announced.
