In the spring of this year, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received Viktor anti-aircraft systems. They are quite easy to maintain. The systems are characterized by high maneuverability, which is especially important when repelling kamikaze drone attacks.
General Serhiy Nayev said that Viktor is currently the best weapon of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to defeat barrage kamikaze UAVs. They can be easily hidden in position. The twin machine gun fires about 600 rounds per minute. The system can be used to destroy air targets from a long distance. In tandem with a collimator sight and thermal imaging sight, the twin machine gun effectively hits the Shahed-136.
According to Nayev, if necessary, the 14.5-mm anti-aircraft machine gun can be used to fire at low-flying aircraft and helicopters, lightly armored vehicles, enemy field fortifications and infantry. A Land Cruiser 70 is used as the chassis for the anti-aircraft system. The maneuvering systems against the Shahedin are assembled at the facilities of Excalibur Army, a Czech-registered company.
