The Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down a unique drone: it could be a classified drone of the Russian FSB
In the sky over the Nikolaev area the Ukrainian soldiers shot down the unmanned aerial vehicle which can belong to FSB of the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian air defense has discovered and ‘landed’ a unique Russian drone. This was reported by the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces. It is assumed that this drone is not used by the Russian Ministry of Defense, but by the Federal Security Service.
The UAV does not have an official name, as it is considered secret. It was used to conduct air reconnaissance in order to prevent a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Outwardly, the drone resembles the Orlan-10, whose fleet in Russia is shrinking every day.
The downed UAV could conduct panoramic aerial photography (both photos and videos) and transmit real-time data. To do this, it was equipped with a camera with a dozen lenses.
The fact that this unmanned aerial vehicle is a secret drone of the Russian FSB has not yet been confirmed. But there are some facts that point to this:
- manufacturer “AFM-Servers” cooperates with the FSB;
- the drone has a Russian satellite navigation system;
- lack of information about UAVs in the public domain.
