The USA said how many more HIMARS they can transfer to Ukraine

The Chairman of the Armed Forces Committee of the US House of Representatives, Adam Smith, told Radio Svoboda in an interview how many more HIMARS installations and other salvo missile systems the United States and its allies will be able to provide to Ukraine.

We are ready to provide Ukraine with as many HIMARS installations as we can. It is not a fact that we have exactly 50 such installations in our arsenal. I think the goal now is to reach the number of 25-30 multiple rocket launchers. And it will be a combination of HIMARS and several MLRS systems from Great Britain and others (countries – ed.). We will try to provide as much as we can. But 50 or 60 installations will be difficult to assemble and provide, however, we want to reach the number of 25 or 30 and provide as much artillery and missiles for these systems as possible,” – said Smith.

Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, said that 50 HIMARS and M270 missile systems are needed for the defense of Ukraine, and 100 such systems for the offensive.

Now 12 long-range HIMARS artillery systems of American production and a certain number of MLRS M270 have already been delivered to Ukraine. In a new package of military aid to Ukraine, the United States announced the delivery of four more HIMARS installations.

Also, Adam Smith led a delegation of congressmen from the House of Representatives of the United States Congress, which was received by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi in Kyiv on July 23.
