On October 19, 2022, the Verkhovna Rada adopted draft law No. 7636, which restores the mechanism of state registration of lease rights to agricultural land plots, which was in effect before the introduction of martial law. This is stated on the website ProZorro. Sales.
The document cancels the norms of the transitional provisions of the Land Code stating that during the war, land auctions regarding lease rights, emphytheusis, and superficies regarding agricultural lands of state and communal ownership were not conducted.
The adopted changes also bring back the holding of auctions for the transfer of state-owned, communal land for commercial agricultural production on lease.
