Turkish defense company Baykar invests $100 million in Ukraine.
This was announced by Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar during the International Defense Industries Forum.
According to him, the funds will be used to build a drone manufacturing plant, create a service center for drones, and locate the company’s headquarters.
At the same time, construction of the plant has already begun and is expected to be completed in 1.5 years. Moreover, according to the plans, the plant will create 300 jobs.
Bayraktar emphasized that the production will be self-sufficient, environmentally friendly and mutually beneficial, as Ukraine has unique technologies for the production of engines, and the Turkish side has drones on which these engines are installed.
