After receiving permission from the city authorities, Uber resumes operations in Kyiv.
“As of today, Uber has resumed operations in Kyiv. To support the immediate restoration of the city, Uber will not charge any travel fees – this means that the full fare paid by passengers will go directly to local drivers. Uber will also donate 10,000 free trips to civil servants and other critical infrastructure workers who provide the necessary assistance and services to Kyivites,” – said Anabel Diaz, Uber’s regional manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
By the way, in addition to resuming its core business, Uber also continues to initiate various social projects in cooperation with NGOs, volunteer centers and businesses to support Ukrainians.
For example, the company offers promo codes for free trips to blood donation centers for donors from DonorUA. They are available in all cities where the platform works (in Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Rivne and Lutsk). Users registered on the DonorUA website will be able to use a one-time promo code to book a trip in the Uber application in both directions for up to UAH 150. To receive a promo code, schedule a blood donation in the donor’s personal account, click “I want to receive a promo code” and it will be sent to the specified email address.
