Ukraine presents a modified 10-seater Novator armored vehicle in Poland
On Tuesday, September 5, Ukrainian Armor LLC presented a new modification of the SBA Novator, a 10-seater armored vehicle, at the MSPO international defense industry exhibition in Poland.

“By creating a new version of Novator, we continue to develop our vehicle line. The 10-seater armored vehicle is the most updated version of the Novator armored personnel carrier, which has been supplied to the Ukrainian Defense Forces since 2018 and has passed the test of time and, most importantly, combat,” said Vladyslav Belbas, CEO of Ukrainian Armor.
According to him, this modification was developed taking into account the experience of using the vehicle by various units in combat conditions.
It is noted that the main innovations implemented by the company include an improved suspension and steering system that provide high maneuverability and increased cross-country ability.
Belbas added that the vehicle is based on the Ford chassis, which is widely used by armored vehicle manufacturers. According to him, the main problem that has to be overcome is an increase in the maximum load on the base chassis, as Forda has a maximum load of 8845 kg.
“Our designers have managed to solve this problem by using modern thinner and harder armor for armor and by modernizing the suspension. These solutions allowed us to design a vehicle that meets the requirements of modern warfare,” emphasized Belbas.
In addition, he said, the updated version of Novator has enhanced mine protection. The armored vehicle is able to operate in different climatic conditions, regardless of the season, and on different types of roads, including off-road.
“Like the previous version, the 10-seater Novator is built on a modular basis and is, in fact, a universal platform that, due to its high degree of adaptability, can be used to perform various combat missions and can be equipped with various weapons and combat modules,” said the CEO of Ukrainian Armor.
The prototype of the vehicle, which was presented at the arms forum in Poland, will undergo state tests immediately after the exhibition.
