SMS messaging for e-prescriptions has been restored in Ukraine. Patients will continue to be able to receive the necessary prescription medicines by providing the prescription number and redemption code.
It is noted that recently, due to delays in the work of one of the mobile network operators, temporary changes in the issuance of e-prescriptions were introduced.
Since subscribers can receive SMS messages again, starting from December 26, 2023, SMS for e-prescriptions will be sent as usual,” the statement said.
To redeem e-prescriptions created between December 15 and December 25 inclusive, the patient can use the code specified in the prescription information note. No additional actions are required from medical professionals.
What preceded it
Earlier, during the period of mobile connection restoration, changes were temporarily made to the Electronic Healthcare System (EHS) regarding the formation of an electronic prescription.
Patients of all mobile operators did not receive notifications with the prescription number and code. Instead, the information certificate contained a redemption code, which is required for the dispensing of medicines by a pharmacist in a pharmacy.
