Ukrtelecom has repulsed a powerful hacker attack on its IT infrastructure
On the evening of March 28, the Ukrainian telecommunications company “Ukrtelecom” was subjected to a cyberattack, which caused problems on the internet.
Chairman of the state service for special communications and Information Protection of Ukraine Yuriy Shchigol said that the attack has neutralized and the restoration of customer service continues.

Ukrtelekom said that the cyberattack successfully repelled.
“Now the attack has repelled, and the provision of services gradually being restored.”
Mikhail Shuranov, director of the Department of public relations and external communications of Ukrtelecom.
NetBlocks, which tracks failures in Internet services, also confirmed the attack, saying that “failures continue and worsen on a national scale.”

After the attack, Yuriy Shchyhol added that Ukrtelecom resumed operations, but to maintain communication and provide services to the Armed Forces, the company temporarily restricted the provision of services to most private users and business clients.
