US: Russia has lost 20,000 people in Bakhmut over the past five months, half of them are Wagner
At a briefing at the White House, US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby revealed estimates of Russia’s losses in the Bakhmut area over the past five months.
This is reported by Reuters.
According to him, US intelligence agencies estimate total losses in the area and during this period at 100,000, including 20,000 deaths.
Half of these losses, according to him, are attributable to the forces of the Wagner PMC.
Also, according to him, the Russian offensive in Bakhmut stopped and failed.
Prigozhin also reportedly threatened Shoigu to withdraw Wagner PMCs from Bakhmut if they were not provided with ammunition. According to Prigozhin, the Ukrainian armed forces offensive will begin no later than May 15 and could lead to catastrophic consequences for Russia.
